Decatur, IL (November 4, 2020) – A woman was killed in a deadly pedestrian accident in the Decatur area on Friday, October 30.
The crash reportedly occurred late that evening at around 11:19 p.m. The site of the accident was located near the intersection of Kent Avenue and Belaire Court. Local reports revealed that 27-year-old Alisha A. Gordon was traveling near the intersection when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Gordon suffered injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports revealed that Gordon sustained crushing head and neck injuries due to the accident. No further information on the deadly pedestrian accident has been provided.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is being managed by the Decatur Police Department.
