Woodstock, IL – Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on IL-47

Woodstock, IL (July 27, 2020) – A motorcyclist from Algonquin, Illinois was killed following a two-vehicle collision in Woodstock. The accident took place on Saturday morning, July 25 at around 11:50 a.m. The Woodstock Police Department reported that the site of the crash was located on IL-47 near the area of Davis Road and S. Seminary Avenue. 

When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they found the rider lying on the roadway. The 56-year-old motorcyclist was assessed at the scene by paramedics and then transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Illinois where he was later pronounced dead. 

Initial reports revealed that the two vehicles involved in the crash were a white Ford F-150 pickup truck and a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The driver of the pickup, 59-year-old Glen R. Lillund of Fox River Grove, Illinois, denied medical attention at the scene. Lillund was issued two traffic citations for failure to yield at a stop intersection and expired driver’s license. 

An ongoing investigation into the accident is being managed by the McHenry County Major Crash Assistance Team. No further updates are available at this time.
