Boone County Deadly Motorcycle Accidents

Every day there are an estimated 10 motorcycle collisions reported across Illinois, according to statistics from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). Of these accidents, nearly 99% result in injuries or death. Deadly motorcycle crashes are on the rise across the state, increasing to 956 reported fatalities in 2012. Since that year, motorcycle deaths have increased by 19%.

The grief and devastation of losing a loved one due to another’s negligence is nearly unbearable. Surviving family members often take on damages resulting from the accident, and they may be able to recover lost compensation by pursuing a wrongful death claim with the help of an experienced Illinois motorcycle crash attorney. In an Illinois wrongful death claim, a representative of the decedent’s estate – usually a close family member – seeks damages from those at fault for the person’s death to obtain compensation for damages.
