A hit-and-run crash is almost guaranteed to be a traumatic experience. Most hit-and-run collisions involve pedestrians who are struck by negligent drivers. Leaving the scene of a crash without providing aid and exchanging insurance information is against the law in Illinois.

11 percent of all police-reported collisions are hit-and-runs. 65 percent of those killed in hit-and-run crashes are pedestrians. Injured parties should consult with an Illinois pedestrian injury lawyer to discuss their options for legal compensation.
