Sumner, IL (December 13, 2019) – A crash involving two cars resulted in two people being transported to St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Illinois. The site of the crash was located near the intersection of IL-135 and 60th Street. Local sources revealed the accident happened on Thursday, December 12th, at around 4:48 p.m.
Local law enforcement reported that a tractor-trailer driven by Dennis Higgins, 67, of Alexis, Illinois was traveling on IL-135 and when he was attempting to make a right-hand turn near 60th Street, a 2012 Ford Focus driven by Jacqueline McGraw, 35, of Bettendorf, Indiana attempted to pass. The tractor-trailer struck the front passenger side of the vehicle.
McGraw and her passenger, Derrick Ingram, 32, were both hospitalized following the collision. Local authorities are conducting an investigation into the accident at this time.
