Certain types of collisions result in severe injuries. Side-impact crashes, more commonly known as T-bones, are one such accident. These take place when a vehicle strikes another car directly from the side.

Certain vehicle safety devices fail when involved in a side-impact crash. In the past 20 years, deaths resulting from side-impact crashes have increased by nearly 20 percent. In some cases, injured victims can hold a reckless driver accountable with the help of an Illinois auto accident lawyer.
