Chicago, IL - Teen Boy Killed In Collision On South Exchange Ave

Chicago, IL (November 22, 2019) - A 13-year-old boy lost his life in a fatal collision in south Chicago. The incident took place on Thursday night, November 21st, at the 8300 block of South Exchange Ave. At around 6:20 p.m., a 52-year-old man struck the teen who was using the crosswalk when he was hit. 

The vehicle was reportedly traveling westbound on 83rd St. when he hit the teen. The victim was transported to Comer Children's Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials.

No other details are known at this time. Local authorities are conducting an investigation into the accident.
