Mascoutah, IL – Sharon Foster Killed in Semi-Truck Collision on I-64

Mascoutah, IL (July 9, 2020) – A semi-truck rear-ended a pickup truck that was stopped on a highway in Mascoutah on Tuesday, July 7. The crash occurred on I-65 near mile marker 25, between Mascoutah and New Baden. The two vehicles involved in the crash were a tractor-trailer and a 2020 Ford pickup truck.

The 40-year-old Missouri man driving the semi failed to notice that the pickup had come to a stop on the highway due to traffic. The impact caused the pickup to leave the roadway and catch fire. The driver of the pickup, Sharon Foster, 67, of Collins, Missouri was killed in the crash.

No other injuries were reported. An ongoing investigation into the crash.
