Sauget, IL (November 18, 2020) – A two-vehicle collision on Saturday, November 14, in Sauget left one man dead.
Local reports revealed that the deadly collision occurred in the 3000 block of Mississippi Avenue at around 2 a.m. that morning. According to reports from the Illinois State Police, 31-year-old Tashorn Napper of Cahokia, Illinois was stopped on the road near a set of railroad tracks at the time of the crash. For unknown reasons, a pickup truck collided with the rear of Napper’s vehicle.
Napper sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a nearby hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The identity of the other driver has not been released.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
