Rockford, IL (November 15, 2020) – A two-vehicle collision in Rockford on Saturday morning, November 14, left one man dead and another victim injured.
The accident reportedly took place at the 5600 block of N. Meridian Road at around 5:45 a.m. that morning. According to local sources, two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on the roadway when they collided. One of the vehicles was engulfed in flames when authorities arrived.
An occupant of the flaming vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics. The male driver of one of the vehicles was transported to a nearby medical facility for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the crash is currently available.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is underway.
