Rockford, IL (November 22, 2020) – A two-vehicle collision in Rockford resulted in the death of a motorcyclist on Saturday, November 21.
The deadly collision reportedly took place near the intersection of Newburg Road and Phelps Avenue. According to local sources, the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Newburg Road when he collided with an eastbound vehicle making a turn. The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased victim has not been revealed at this time. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a nearby medical facility for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available.
Local law enforcement officials are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
