Peoria Co, IL – Carolyn Hoskins Killed in Pileup Crash on IL-29

Peoria Co, IL (November 20, 2020) – A Lacon woman was killed following a multi-vehicle collision in Peoria County on Tuesday evening, November 17. 

Emergency responders were called to the scene of a pileup accident near the intersection of IL-29 and Cambron Lane at around 5:30 p.m. Initial reports revealed that a vehicle pulled onto the northbound lanes of the highway when it was struck by a southbound vehicle. Both vehicles were then hit by a third southbound vehicle. 

Local sources reported that 85-year-old Carolyn Hoskins was driving a 2005 Mercury Marquis that was involved in the crash. Hoskins was transported to Unity Point Methodist in critical condition. She was later pronounced dead at the medical facility. 

The other two vehicles involved in the crash were a 2014 Toyota Prius and 2016 Hyundai Genesis. No further updates on the accident are currently available.
