Hazel Crest, IL (November 15, 2020) – An off-duty police officer was killed in a deadly car accident in the Hazel Crest area on Thursday, November 12.
The site of the crash was reportedly located at the 16700 block of Park Avenue. According to local authorities, the accident occurred that afternoon at around 2:42 p.m. An off-duty officer with the Calumet Park Police Department suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased victim was identified as 24-year-old Shifa Vhora. The cause of the accident has not been reported at this time. No further updates on the accident are currently available.
An ongoing investigation into the deadly crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
