Hanover, IL – Patricia Wensle Killed in Crash on W Speer Rd

Hanover, IL (November 7, 2020) – A collision in rural Hanover resulted in the death of one woman on Tuesday, November 4. 

According to reports from the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred at around 7:53 p.m. at the 4500 block of W. Speer Road. Local sources revealed that a vehicle driven by a 69-year-old man was traveling east on the roadway when it left the roadway near IL-84. The vehicle crashed into a stone lawn decoration. 

A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 67-year-old Patricia H. Wensle, sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The extent of any other resulting injuries has not been reported. No further information on the accident has been provided. 

An ongoing investigation into the deadly accident is currently underway.
