Elmhurst, IL (November 20, 2020) – One person was killed after being fatally struck by a Metra train in the Elmhurst area on Wednesday, November 18.
Local reports revealed that the pedestrian was hit by the Union Pacific West at around 6 p.m. that evening. The site of the deadly accident was located at the set of tracks near Haven Avenue. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
At this time, the cause of the crash is still unknown. The identity of the deceased victim has not been revealed at this time. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available.
Local law enforcement officials are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
