Chicago, IL – Two Officers Injured in Crash at California Ave & Shakespeare Ave

Chicago, IL (November 18, 2020) – Three people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision in Chicago on Tuesday morning, November 17. 

The crash reportedly occurred near the intersection of California Avenue and Shakespeare Avenue at around 1:30 a.m. that morning. A police cruiser was reportedly struck by a pickup truck driven by a 22-year-old woman. The truck reportedly overturned due to the collision. 

The two officers in the patrol car and the driver of the truck were transported to a nearby medical facility for the treatment of sustained injuries. No updates on the conditions of the injured parties have been provided. 

An ongoing investigation into the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be reported as it continues.
