Rockford, IL (October 4, 2020) – A crash on Saturday, October 3, in Rockford resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
According to local sources, the deadly pedestrian accident occurred at the 2100 block of N. Central Avenue. Early on Saturday morning, at around 1:19 a.m., local authorities reported that a pedestrian was hit by a motor vehicle. The injured party was transported to a nearby medical facility in critical condition.
Soon after being taken to the hospital, the injured party succumbed to their injuries. Accident reconstruction units were dispatched to the scene to gather information on the crash. While investigators were present, the site of the accident was closed.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is currently underway.
