Peoria, IL (October 11, 2020) – A man was killed in a minibike collision involving another motor vehicle in Peoria on Friday, October 9.
The crash reportedly occurred near the intersection of Lignonier Street and Marquette Street. Authorities reported that a 40-year-old man riding a mini bike was struck at around 6:30 p.m. The male rider was found unresponsive at the scene by responding emergency personnel.
Despite life-saving measures from paramedics, the man sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident was also hospitalized for sustained injuries. The deceased victim was later identified as Edwin Bolan of Peoria.
No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
