Peoria Co, IL (October 31, 2020) – A two-vehicle collision involving a roaming deer left four people injured in Peoria County on Friday night, October 30.
The site of the collision was reportedly located near the intersection of US-26 and Reed City Road. Local reports revealed that a man driving a pickup truck hit a deer near the intersection, then swerved into oncoming traffic and t-boned another vehicle. Both vehicles were thrown off the roadway and into a ditch due to the impact.
The driver of the other vehicle was reportedly unconscious and flown to a regional hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Two other passengers in the vehicle sustained serious injuries in the crash. They were taken to a nearby hospital along with the driver of the pickup truck.
No further information on the accident is currently available.
