Oswego, IL (October 27, 2020) – On Friday night, October 23, a man was killed after being fatally struck by a motor vehicle in Oswego.
Local reports revealed that a 69-year-old Westchester man was walking on Washington Street at the time of the accident. For unknown reasons, the pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle at around 8:33 p.m. The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 34-year-old Stephen K. Pederson of Aurora, Illinois. Pederson was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision. No further updates on the accident have been provided.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is currently in progress.
