Libertyville, IL (October 5, 2020) – On Sunday, October 4, someone was killed in a deadly bicycle accident in suburban Libertyville.
Local authorities reported that the crash occurred near the intersection of IL-176 and Stritch Drive. At around 3:25 a.m., responding officers found a cyclist lying on the roadway. The injured rider was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where he was later pronounced dead.
At this time, no further information on the crash has been provided. The identity of the deceased party has been withheld. The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is currently underway.
