Deadly ATV Accidents in Illinois
ATVs are extremely easy to use. However, they are also extremely prone to deadly accidents. Reported ATV collisions have increased by nearly 50% since the ‘80s, with 15,000 reported accidents in 2017. In 2007, there were 766 ATV fatalities reported nationwide, compared to only 29 in 1982. Unfortunately, around 25% of ATV fatalities involve young riders who are under the age of 16.
