Joliet, IL (October 9, 2020) – A pedestrian accident in Joliet on Wednesday, October 7, left a man with life-threatening injuries.
According to reports from the Joliet Fire Department, a 51-year-old man was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in critical condition after being struck by a motor vehicle. Local sources revealed that the accident occurred at around 8 p.m. The injured party was found lying at the intersection of Walnut Street and Cass Street by emergency responders.
The victim was not breathing when he was located by paramedics, had no pulse, and had sustained severe injuries. At this time, no further information on the accident is currently available.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
