Hancock Co, IL (October 21, 2020) – Two people suffered injuries following a single-vehicle accident in Hancock County on Sunday, October 18.
The crash reportedly occurred on IL-9 near County Road 3060 East at around 11:33 a.m. that morning. According to local reports, a vehicle traveling east on IL-9 failed to navigate a curve due to wet weather. The vehicle left the roadway and spun around, striking a nearby ditch on the passenger side.
There were two people inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. The occupants were later identified as 24-year-old Briana J. Brown of Galesburg, Illinois, the driver, and 24-year-old Grant D. Bland of Colchester, Illinois. Both were taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is currently underway.
