Clinton Co, IL (October 26, 2020) – Three people reportedly suffered injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Clinton County on Thursday, October 22.

The site of the crash was reportedly located near the intersection of US-50 and Boulder Road and occurred at around 5:48 p.m. Two vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash, a blue 2010 Ford and a white 2007 Chevrolet. According to local reports, 35-year-old Ashley Lynch of O’Fallon, Illinois was driving the Ford southbound on Boulder Road at the time of the crash.

For unknown reasons, Lynch failed to yield at the intersection and collided with an eastbound Chevrolet, driven by 45-year-old Shane Branon of Centralia, Illinois. Lynch, Branon, and a passenger in the Ford were taken to a nearby medical facility for the treatment of life-threatening injuries. No further information on the crash has been reported.

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is currently underway.

Our thoughts are with Ashley Lynch, Shane Branon, the other injured victim, and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
