Deadly Rollover Accidents in Chicago

Chicago, IL - Woman Killed in Rollover Crash at Eisenhower Expy & Harlem Ave

Being involved in a rollover crash is a traumatic and terrifying experience. Rollover crashes are fairly rare, only accounting for roughly 2.1% of reported car crashes nationwide in 2010. However, that same year, rollovers were involved in nearly 35% of fatal passenger-vehicle crashes. An estimated 7,600 people lost their lives in rollover collisions in the United States that year.

The grief and devastation of losing a loved one due to another’s negligence are nearly unbearable. Surviving family members often take on damages resulting from the accident, and they may be able to recover lost compensation by pursuing a wrongful death claim with the help of an experienced Illinois personal injury attorney. In an Illinois wrongful death claim, a representative of the decedent’s estate — usually a close family member — seeks damages from those at fault for the person’s death to obtain compensation for damages.
