Chicago, IL (October 5, 2020) – A male pedestrian was struck in a south Chicago neighborhood on Sunday afternoon, October 4.
According to a statement from the Chicago Fire Department, the accident occurred at around 1:30 p.m. The pedestrian was reportedly crossing near the intersection of S. Manistee Avenue and E. 83rd Street at the time of the crash. Emergency responders and law enforcement officials were dispatched to the site of the crash to render aid to the injured party.
The injured pedestrian was transported to South Shore Hospital in a stable condition. At this time, the cause of the crash has not been reported. No updates on the conditions of the injured party have been provided.
The Chicago Police Department is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
