Chicago, IL (October 12, 2020) – A vehicle filled with gunshot victims collided with an ambulance in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on Saturday night, October 10, resulting in one person being killed.
The crash victims were reportedly traveling south on Keeler Avenue when they were shot at around 7 p.m. The vehicle then drove to the 500 block of S. Pulaski Road where they collided with an ambulance. All four occupants of the vehicle were rushed to a nearby hospital following the accident.
A 21-year-old man in the vehicle suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead. A 34-year-old man who had been shot multiple times was reportedly in critical condition. Two other occupants in the vehicle were hospitalized in serious conditions.
No further information on the accident has been provided. An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
