Chicago, IL (October 13, 2020) – One person was killed following a deadly collision involving a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle in Chicago on Monday morning, October 12.
The collision reportedly occurred on Interstate 57 near 147th Street. A sedan and a commercial truck collided early that morning at around 3:45 a.m., according to local sources. The passenger car and semi collided for reasons that are unknown at this time.
The sedan proceeded to crash into the concrete barrier on the roadway as a result of the impact. The driver of the passenger car suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The site of the crash was closed while emergency responders were present.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is underway.
