Chicago, IL (October 16, 2020) – A deadly hit-and-run on the West Side of Chicago left one man dead on Wednesday, October 14.
Local sources revealed that the crash occurred at the 2600 block of W. Van Buren Street just before 8 p.m. The deceased victim was traveling westbound on the roadway at the time of the crash. The male pedestrian was struck by a westbound vehicle on the road for unknown reasons.
The driver involved in the accident fled the scene without stopping to render aid. The injured pedestrian was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. At this time, no charges have been filed and no one has been taken into custody.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is currently underway.
