Chicago, IL (October 13, 2020) – A firefighter suffered injuries while combatting a structure fire in the Chicago area on Monday morning, October 12.
The site of the fire was located at a local residence in the Humboldt Park area. Local firefighters were called to the scene of the fire at the 820 block of N. Lawndale Avenue. The fire reportedly broke out at around 1 a.m. that morning.
Four people were reportedly displaced in the fire. One of the firefighters at the scene was hospitalized for the treatment of sustained injuries. At this time, the cause of the fire is still unknown.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
