Washington Park, IL (September 12, 2020) – There were reports of a deadly hit-and-run accident near Washington Park on Friday, September 11.
The details currently available on the accident are limited at this time. The fatal accident took place on Interstate 64 near mile marker 5. Eastbound traffic on the interstate was reduced to a single lane while investigators and paramedics were present. The identity of the deceased victim has not been revealed at this time.
Authorities have not released information regarding the identity of the at-fault driver or the type of vehicle involved in the crash. Emergency responders were present at the scene to render aid to the injured party who was pronounced dead at the scene. No further information on the crash has been released at this time.
