Skokie, IL – Boy Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Howard St

Skokie, IL (September 5, 2020) – A teenage boy was killed following a motorcycle accident in Skokie on Thursday, September 3, on Howard Street. 

First responders and officials from the Skokie Police Department were called to the scene of the accident at the 3500 block of Howard Street at around 9:45 a.m. The victim was reportedly traveling eastbound on the roadway by motorcycle at the time of the accident. Local sources reported that a sedan pulled out of a parking lot and into the path of the motorcycle. 

The rider of the motorcycle was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead. At this time, the identity of the deceased victim has not been released at this time. 

The 65-year-old driver of the sedan was also hospitalized. An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress. Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
