Rockford, IL (September 2, 2020) – There was a reported fatality following a collision on Monday, August 31, in Rockford. The deadly car accident reportedly took place near the intersection of E. State Street and S. 2nd Street early that morning.
Emergency responders and law enforcement officials were dispatched to the scene to render aid to the injured parties. According to reports from the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office, the deceased victim was the front-seat passenger of a vehicle involved in a two-car accident. The 73-year-old woman was transported to a nearby medical facility where she was later pronounced dead.
The cause of the crash has not been disclosed at this time. The identity of the deceased party has not been released at this time. No further updates on the collision are currently available.
