Rockford, IL (September 15, 2020) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being involved in a vehicle collision in Rockford on Saturday, September 12.
According to reports from the Rockford Police Department, the accident occurred that evening near the intersection of Carthage Drive and S. Alpine Road. A pedestrian crossing at the intersection was struck by an oncoming car and sustained serious injuries. The cause of the accident has not been reported.
The details currently available on the accident are limited at this time. Local reports revealed that the site of the crash was closed at around 9 p.m. that evening. The identity of the injured party has not been released.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is currently underway.
