Ottawa, IL (September 26, 2020) – There were reported fatalities following a multi-vehicle accident in the Ottawa area on Friday morning, September 25.
The collision reportedly occurred in La Salle County on Interstate 80, according to reports from the Illinois State Police. Multiple vehicles were involved in the collision, and at least one of the vehicles caught fire. The site of the crash was located about four miles west of Ottawa.
At least two people were killed in the crash according to the La Salle County Coroner’s Office. There were multiple other injured parties at the scene. At this time, the cause of the accident is still unknown.
No further updates on the accident have been provided. An ongoing investigation into the accident is currently underway.
