Lisle, IL (September 29, 2020) – A Naperville man suffered fatal injuries after being struck by a motor vehicle in Lisle Township on Friday, September 25.
The collision reportedly occurred near the intersection of Plank Road and Naper Boulevard at around 3:26 p.m. that afternoon. Local authorities reported that a 2008 silver Volkswagen Rabbit driven by a 23-year-old man from Naperville struck a 28-year-old Naperville man who was in the roadway. The deceased victim was reportedly changing his tire on the roadway when he was hit.
The injured pedestrian was transported to Edward Hospital for the treatment of life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. Multiple emergency units were called to the scene in order to render aid and investigate the accident.
No further information on this deadly pedestrian accident has been provided. An ongoing investigation into the collision is underway.
