Effingham, IL – Cheryl Stumborg Injured in Crash at Ford Ave & Keller Dr

Effingham, IL (September 3, 2020) – A crash in Effingham on Thursday, August 28, left one woman injured at the intersection of Ford Avenue and N. Keller Drive. 

Initial reports revealed that the accident occurred at around 5:48 p.m. According to local sources, 55-year-old Cheryl L. Stumborg of Effingham was traveling when they were rear-ended by another vehicle at the intersection. The second vehicle was reportedly driven by 23-year-old Madison B. Lewis from Clay, Illinois. 

Emergency responders were present to render aid to the injured parties at the scene. Stumborg reportedly sustained injuries but refused treatment at the site of the crash. The cause of the accident is still unknown at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the crash is being conducted by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be released as it continues.
