Chicago, IL (September 16, 2020) – A woman suffered serious injuries after being struck by a pickup truck in Chicago near the South Loop on Tuesday evening, September 15.
The crash reportedly occurred at the 1100 block of S. Michigan Avenue. Reports from the Chicago Police Department revealed that a 61-year-old woman was sitting at the bus stop when she was hit by a red pickup truck. The incident occurred at around 11:45 p.m. that evening.
The injured victim was taken to a nearby medical facility in serious condition. She reportedly suffered leg injuries due to the accident. Footage from the scene revealed that the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run was a red pickup truck. The truck reportedly had glowing rims and was last seen traveling southbound on Michigan Avenue.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
