Chicago, IL – Man Fatally Struck at on N Lake Shore Dr

Chicago, IL (September 4, 2020) – On Wednesday night, September 2, an 87-year-old man was killed after being involved in a deadly pedestrian accident in Chicago’s Uptown area. 

Initial reports revealed that the fatal accident occurred at the 5200 block of N. Lake Shore Drive at around 11:30 p.m. The man was hit by a northbound Toyota Camry. He was transported to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. 

The identity of the deceased victim has not been disclosed at this time. The autopsy revealed that the man was killed due to multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Camry remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. 

No further updates on the collision are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
