Chicago, IL (September 21, 2020) – A three-vehicle collision in the Chicago area left four people injured on Sunday morning, September 20.
The accident reportedly occurred on Dan Ryan Expressway (Interstate 94) near W. 79th Street at around 3:40 a.m. According to reports from the Illinois State Police, one vehicle was speeding down the roadway when it rear-ended a second vehicle and then hit the back of a third. The driver of the first vehicle fled the scene.
Four people were hospitalized for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The right three lanes of I-94 were closed while investigators and paramedics were present. No further updates on the accident have been reported at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
