Calumet City, IL (September 30, 2020) – One man was killed and another injured following a two-vehicle collision in Calumet City on Tuesday, September 29.
Officers from the Calumet City Police Department were called to the scene of the crash at around 1:40 a.m. that morning. The two vehicles collided at the 2000 block of Sibley Boulevard. One of the vehicles caught fire due to the crash.
A 27-year-old man from Dolton, Illinois was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was transported to a medical facility for the treatment of sustained injuries. The other driver was taken into custody after receiving treatment.
No further information on the crash has been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the accident is currently in progress.
