Barlett, IL (September 2, 2020) – On Friday, August 28, a multi-vehicle collision in Bartlett left two people injured. According to local sources, the collision occurred near the intersection of IL-59 and Bartlett Road at around 1:30 p.m.

Initial reports revealed that four vehicles were involved in the crash, including one pulling a trailer transporting seven horses. Authorities reported that a 2017 Ford F-450 pulling the trailer was traveling south on the highway when it collided with a 2019 Isuzu NPR-HD that failed to yield while making a left turn onto Bartlett Road.

The collision caused the Ford to leave the roadway and strike a traffic light near the intersection. The Isuzu proceeded to collide with a 2004 Hyundai Sonata which then hit a 2018 Toyota Camry. Both the Hyundai and Toyota stopped at the intersection.

The driver and passenger of the Hyundai were transported by ambulance to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois for treatment. The driver of the Isuzu was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

An ongoing investigation into the accident is currently in progress.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
