Bainbridge, IL (September 9, 2020) – A two-vehicle collision Schuyler County on Tuesday, September 8, resulted in a state trooper being hospitalized. Reports from the Illinois State Police revealed that the accident occurred near the intersection of US-67 and IL-103 at around 8:20 p.m. that evening.
Initial sources revealed that one of the vehicles attempted to make a turn in front of the other. The trooper was hospitalized for the treatment of serious injuries. Two others in the other vehicle refused treatment at the scene.
Officials reported that citations would be filed at a later time. The other vehicle involved in the collision sustained significant front-end damage. Both vehicles were totaled, and a tow-truck was called to the scene to clear the scene.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is being conducted by the ISP.
