Rockford, IL (August 26, 2020) – A two-vehicle collision in Rockford Township resulted in a woman suffering fatal injuries on Wednesday, August 26. The crash occurred early that morning at around 3:24 a.m. near the intersection of River Boulevard and Central Avenue.
First responders and law enforcement officials were dispatched to the scene to respond to a serious crash with injuries. A woman, who was one of the drivers, was killed in the crash. The driver was transported to a nearby medical facility where she was later pronounced dead.
At this time, the cause of the accident is still unknown. No other injuries have been reported by local authorities. The identity of the deceased victim has not been disclosed.
No further updates on the crash are available at this time. An ongoing investigation into the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
