Rockford, IL (August 7, 2020) – Authorities with the Rockford Police Department were called to the scene of a traffic accident on Wednesday, August 5, at around 9 p.m. that evening. The site of the crash was reportedly located near the intersection of Auburn Street and Springfield Avenue. 

The details currently available on the collision are limited at this time. The extent of the resulting injuries has not yet been made public by local authorities. Emergency responders and law enforcement officials were present at the scene to render aid to the crash victims. 

The site of the crash was closed while investigators and medical personnel were present. At this time, the cause of the crash is still unknown. No updates on the conditions of the involved parties have been provided. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be released as it continues.
