Quincy, IL – One Killed, Others Injured in Crash at 4th St & Broadway St

Quincy, IL (August 16, 2020) – One person was killed and several others injured following a fatal car accident in the Quincy area on Friday night, August 14. Initial reports revealed that the crash occurred near the corner of N. 4th Street and Broadway Street at around 5 p.m. 

According to local sources, 36-year-old Natasha McBride was traveling westbound on Broadway Street when she collided with a northbound vehicle on N. 4th Street. Witnesses from the scene reported that McBride was traveling at a high rate of speed and ran a red light leading up to the collision. Multiple injuries were reported at the scene and at least one fatality. 

At this time, the cause of the crash is still unknown. McBride was arrested for multiple charges, including aggravated driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident with fatalities, driving while license revoked, and reckless homicide. The site of the crash was closed while emergency responders were present. 

No further updates on the collision are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being conducted by local law enforcement officials.
