Lebanon, IL (August 19, 2020) – A woman was killed after being struck in a pedestrian accident in downtown Lebanon on Monday, August 17.
The deceased victim was later identified as Donna Weil. Weil was reportedly walking when she and another woman were struck. The driver of the vehicle that struck the pair of pedestrians was identified as Weil’s husband, Teddy Weil, of Lebanon.
Teddy Weil was reportedly driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck at the time of the accident. Local reports that his blood alcohol content was far above the legal limit. Donna Weil sustained fatal injuries in the crash, and the other woman sustained serious injuries.
Teddy Weil was later arrested and is currently in custody at St. Clair County jail. An ongoing investigation into the accident is currently underway. Our thoughts are with the injured victim and her family in hopes of a full recovery.
