Joliet, IL (August 21, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed after being involved in a deadly collision involving another vehicle in Joliet on Thursday, August 20. Local reported that the collision occurred near the intersection of Interstate 80 and S. Chicago Street (IL-53).
Initial sources revealed that 55-year-old Henry R. Young of Lockport, Illinois was traveling by motorcycle on S. Chicago Street at the time of the collision. For unknown reasons, Young was involved in a collision with another vehicle. Young sustained critical injuries and was taken to AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet for treatment.
Young was pronounced dead at around 3:45 p.m., according to the Will County Coroner’s Office. The cause and manner of the victim’s death are currently pending. No further updates on the accident are available at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently underway, and more details will be released as it continues.
