Cottonwood, IL – Hannah Watson-Reano Killed in Crash on Co Rd 1200N

Cottonwood, IL (August 29, 2020) – A woman was killed after her vehicle collided with a tractor in Cottonwood Township, east of Neoga, Illinois on Friday morning, August 28. Initial sources revealed that the accident took place near the intersection of County Road 900 East and 1200 North at around 8:45 a.m. 

According to reports from the Illinois State Police, the driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old Hannah M. Watson-Reano, was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics. Watson-Reano and a tractor owned by Cottonwood Township were both traveling east on County Road 1200 North at the time of the crash. The tractor was reportedly sweeping the roadway. 

For unknown reasons, Watson-Reano rear-ended the rear of the tractor. The driver of the tractor, 69-year-old Gary W. Jones of Lerna, Illinois, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. No further updates on the crash are available. 

An ongoing investigation into the accident is being managed by local authorities. Our thoughts are with the injured victim and his family in hopes of a full recovery.
